How a SOGNA wedding fitting works
- Book or walk in. Groom, groomsmen and fathers can come together or separately — we keep the party's colour, cloth and size notes on file.
- Try it on. Jacket, trousers, waistcoat, shirt and tie in the actual cloth, in your size. Jacket and trouser sizes are chosen independently, so a 40 jacket with 32 trousers is normal, not an alteration.
- Pin and adjust. Sleeve length, trouser hem and waist are pinned in store and altered by our tailor at a discounted rate for suit purchases. Most alterations are ready in 3–5 days.
- Collect or ship. Pick up at Shop 2138 or have it delivered anywhere in Australia, shipping free.

Choose your jacket size and trouser waist independently on every complete suit. Buying the pair saves $40 against the separates ($20 on the T128). Shirts, ties, waistcoats and shoes are in store and online.
Tuxedos and black tie
For black-tie weddings we carry satin-lapel and shawl-lapel tuxedo jackets in black, ivory and navy, velvet dinner jackets in burgundy, green and navy, and matching formal trousers. See Black Tie & Formal, or ask in store — not every colour is online.
Groomsmen: what to plan
- Timing. Fit the party 6–8 weeks before the wedding; final alterations 2 weeks out. Interstate groomsmen can order online in the same style number and be altered locally.
- Matching. Order the same style number for the whole party so cloth and colour match exactly. Groom often differs by a waistcoat, tie or a double-breasted jacket.
- Budget. A complete suit at SOGNA is $158–$298; a full look with shirt and tie is typically under $350 per person.

Can I buy online and return in store?
Yes. Any online order can be returned or exchanged free in store within 30 days of delivery, or by post.
Do you do made-to-measure?
Yes, for grooms and wedding parties with enough lead time. Ask at your fitting.
What if my size is not online?
Our stores hold more sizes than the website shows. Call (02) 8872 3428 and we will check the rack for you.
